Velma was a 1937 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She, along with her husband, owned and operated a dairy farm in the Roaring Spring area for many years, and she also assisted her husband in his church ministry duties.
Velma was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, where she was a former deaconess and member of the Itry Sunday school class and Women’s Fellowship. She previously taught Sunday school for many years.
She enjoyed Bible study, sewing, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. After their retirement, she and Harry enjoyed traveling and camping.
