Mrs. Shoop was a member of Altoona Bible Church. She was a seamstress for many years and then worked as a salesperson at H.L. Green Department Store in Hollidaysburg until her retirement.

She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and also enjoyed sewing, hummingbirds and gardening.
